The materials in transport bi-annual reports were initiated in Q1 of 2008, it examines policy developments over issues such as reducing carbon dioxide emissions in all major automotive markets such as the US, European Union, China and Japan, the response of the industry in terms of technological development and impacts these have upon demand for raw materials. Subsequent editions will also include coverage of the aviation industry.
Materials in Transport report is published by VM Group and ABN AMRO Bank and examines the changes in the global transport market with regards to advances in emission legislation, technology, sales and the impact on materials in the long-term. The ‘emerging jam’ feature focuses on the impact of rising population and urbanisation in the emerging economies on materials, with special focus on the infrastructure required to cope with the expected boom in car ownership. The report also summarises the changes in regulations governing vehicle emissions, while it also summarises the latest car sales data and advances in technology
