THE VM GROUP'S DEDICATION OVER THE YEARS TO ANALYSING THE METAL MARKETS
Originally called Virtual Metals, the VM Group has a long history of analysing the metal markets, especially the precious metals. This has resulted in the company building up close and long term relationships with many market participants who have shared with us insights into their market sectors. In keeping with the philosophy of "giving something back", the VM Group together with sponsors makes available on an open access basis numerous reports covering the metal markets. These include currently the Mitsui Hedge Report covering gold producer hedging and Pole Position, a review of the pgm markets from a transport perspective.
In 2004, the VM Group in close co-operation with the then Fortis Bank, began producing the Metals Monthly Report looking at gold, silver, platinum, palladium, copper, nickel, lead and zinc, tin and plastics. The VM Group and ABN AMRO Bank N.V also publish detailed coverage of the gold and pgm markets on a bi-annual basis in the form of the Yellow Book and the White Book respectively.
